Where the data comes from

• Restaurant grades, scores, cuisines and locations from the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene's inspection results, published on NYC Open Data.
• Map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors.

Restaurants are identified by the city's own CAMIS ID, so a place keeps its history even as inspection data refreshes. Inspection data is updated as the city publishes new results.
